How it works · Offline LAN hub
A LAN hub, planned, to keep selling when the internet drops
Planned: a small relay hub on the shop's own network that keeps the till taking cash sales, printing receipts and opening the drawer through an internet outage, then hands everything to the cloud once the connection returns. This is the product's main selling point, and it is not built yet.
Point by point
What it does, and where each part stands
Sell through an outage
Coming soonPlanned: a small relay hub on the shop's own network keeps the till taking cash sales, printing receipts and opening the drawer while the internet is down, then hands everything to the cloud once it returns.
Credit sales within a limit
Coming soonPlanned: an offline sale on credit is allowed up to the customer's last-known headroom; beyond that a manager PIN is needed, and the sale is flagged for review once the connection is back.
One shop, several screens
Coming soonPlanned: every till, tablet and kitchen screen on the shop's own network is meant to read the same live picture of tables, stock and credit from the hub, not from each other.
The hub never posts to the books
Coming soonPlanned: the hub is designed only to store and relay a signed record of every sale; only the cloud ever posts it to the ledger, in a settlement batch, so the books never carry two versions of one sale.
A tier, not a bolt-on
Coming soonPlanned: sold as a Cloud-plus-LAN-hub tier alongside a cheaper Cloud-only tier with a shorter outage buffer, so a one-till shop only pays for what it needs.

Straight answers
About offline lan hub
Does BixiCash work without the internet today?
Not yet on the till itself. It is planned: a small relay hub on the shop's own network that keeps selling, printing and the drawer working through an outage, then syncs to the cloud once the connection returns.
What still works if the connection drops?
The plan is that cash sales, receipts and the drawer keep working, credit sales continue up to a customer's last-known limit, and reports, tax submissions and WhatsApp messages wait and catch up later.
Does the hub post to my books?
No. The hub is planned to only store and relay a signed record of every sale; only the cloud ever posts it to the ledger, once the connection is back.
Do I need to buy a separate hub box?
Not at launch. The plan is for the hub to run on the shop's own always-on PC with a UPS; a ready-made hub box is a later option.
