Morning
Bookings and walk-ins
The receptionist checks today's chair bookings and starts the walk-in queue for both the ladies' and gents' sections.
Live demo Beauty, Fitness, Personal & Pet
Every chair, bed and room for the ladies' and gents' sections on one calendar, with the walk-in queue beside it. Each line on the bill carries its stylist's commission, bridal bookings take advances over the weeks before the day, and the client card remembers allergies and the last colour formula.
A working day
Morning
The receptionist checks today's chair bookings and starts the walk-in queue for both the ladies' and gents' sections.
Through the day
A stylist or barber takes the next client, logs the service and any retail product sold, and moves to the next chair.
Checkout
The receptionist totals the ticket, redeems a prepaid package balance if the client has one, and takes payment.
A bridal booking
A bride books months ahead, pays an advance, comes back for a trial, and settles the balance on the wedding day.
Closing
The owner checks the day's cash, and each stylist's commission is added to their pay.
What goes wrong today
A stylist's commission tallied up at the end of the month from paper tickets.
No record of what's left to collect from a bride on the wedding day.
A walk-in who won't wait, because the queue isn't visible to the receptionist.
A busy till lets a discount through that costs the shop money.
What it does
Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.
Every chair, bed and room for both sections sits on one calendar, with the walk-in queue beside it, so a walk-in is seated in two taps.
Each service and product on a bill carries its stylist and their commission, a tip goes to the stylist it is meant for, and payroll pays the commission with the wage.
Allergies and the last colour formula show on the client card and on the stylist's own phone before the service starts.
A bridal package takes advances over the weeks before the event, with the trial date and the balance due on the day, and the deposit is kept if the client does not show.
Prepaid packages, such as five facials, and gift vouchers are sold at the desk and redeemed at checkout.
Products used on a client come off back-bar stock, so the salon's own use is counted apart from what it sells.
The ladies' and gents' sections share one calendar, one back office and one set of books, with each section's staff and figures kept apart.
Commission and tips by stylist, chair use, service against retail margin, and the advances still owed.
A rebooking reminder or a receipt is pre-filled as a WhatsApp message; the receptionist presses send.
Punjab's 5% on beauty services, 18% on retail products and 25% on luxury cosmetics, each on its own line of the bill, with a switch for a salon not registered for the services tax.
Planned: a small on-site relay hub that keeps the till and the chair calendar working through an internet outage.
