A working day

A day in a salon

Morning

Bookings and walk-ins

The receptionist checks today's chair bookings and starts the walk-in queue for both the ladies' and gents' sections.

Through the day

Chair by chair

A stylist or barber takes the next client, logs the service and any retail product sold, and moves to the next chair.

Checkout

Bill, tip and package

The receptionist totals the ticket, redeems a prepaid package balance if the client has one, and takes payment.

A bridal booking

Advance and trial

A bride books months ahead, pays an advance, comes back for a trial, and settles the balance on the wedding day.

Closing

Cash and commission

The owner checks the day's cash, and each stylist's commission is added to their pay.

What goes wrong today

The problems it takes away

Commission worked out by hand

A stylist's commission tallied up at the end of the month from paper tickets.

A bridal advance with no clear balance

No record of what's left to collect from a bride on the wedding day.

A queue nobody can see

A walk-in who won't wait, because the queue isn't visible to the receptionist.

A discount given below cost

A busy till lets a discount through that costs the shop money.

What it does

Everything a salon runs on

Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.

Chair calendar and walk-in queue

Live demo

Every chair, bed and room for both sections sits on one calendar, with the walk-in queue beside it, so a walk-in is seated in two taps.

Commission on every line of the bill

Live demo

Each service and product on a bill carries its stylist and their commission, a tip goes to the stylist it is meant for, and payroll pays the commission with the wage.

The client card remembers

Live demo

Allergies and the last colour formula show on the client card and on the stylist's own phone before the service starts.

Bridal bookings with advances

Live demo

A bridal package takes advances over the weeks before the event, with the trial date and the balance due on the day, and the deposit is kept if the client does not show.

Packages and gift vouchers

Live demo

Prepaid packages, such as five facials, and gift vouchers are sold at the desk and redeemed at checkout.

Back-bar stock used on the service

Live demo

Products used on a client come off back-bar stock, so the salon's own use is counted apart from what it sells.

One salon, two sections

Live demo

The ladies' and gents' sections share one calendar, one back office and one set of books, with each section's staff and figures kept apart.

Reports the owner reads

Live demo

Commission and tips by stylist, chair use, service against retail margin, and the advances still owed.

WhatsApp reminders and receipts

Live demo

A rebooking reminder or a receipt is pre-filled as a WhatsApp message; the receptionist presses send.

Pakistan's salon taxes, built in

Live demo

Punjab's 5% on beauty services, 18% on retail products and 25% on luxury cosmetics, each on its own line of the bill, with a switch for a salon not registered for the services tax.

Straight answers

Salons ask

Can a stylist see another stylist's commission?

No. A stylist's own phone shows only their day, their clients and their own commission.

What happens to a bridal advance if the wedding is postponed?

That is your policy to set. The booking keeps every advance against it until it is used or refunded, and a no-show can keep the deposit.

Does the till stop a discount that goes below cost?

Yes, shown in our demos: a discount can never take a service below its cost, and never exceeds the owner's set maximum.

Is the chair-by-chair calendar available today?

Yes, in the demo: every chair, bed and room for both sections, with the walk-in queue on the same screen.

Can the ladies' and gents' sections be run as one business?

Yes. One calendar, one back office and one set of books, with each section's staff and figures kept apart.

Does it remember a client's allergies and colour formula?

Yes. Both show on the client card and on the stylist's phone before the service starts.
