Morning
A donation comes in
Cash, a bank transfer or a mobile-wallet payment is recorded against a donor, or anonymous, and a fund, and a numbered receipt is issued.
Coming soon Non-profit & Community
For a welfare trust, NGO, mosque or madrassa: every donation is tagged to a fund, zakat, sadaqa or general, never mixed, and a restricted project shows its spend against its target as beneficiaries are helped.
A working day
Morning
Cash, a bank transfer or a mobile-wallet payment is recorded against a donor, or anonymous, and a fund, and a numbered receipt is issued.
Through the day
The programme officer registers a beneficiary and records what was distributed, against a named restricted project such as a Ramadan ration drive.
Midday
On a Friday, the mosque treasurer counts and banks the collection, and pays the imam's honorarium and utility bills from the mosque's own fund.
Afternoon
The madrassa administrator records student intake, the boarding roster and sponsor-a-student assignments.
End of day
The trustee reviews the zakat, sadaqa and general fund balances side by side.
What goes wrong today
Without separate fund accounting, zakat collected for eligible recipients is easy to spend alongside ordinary donations by mistake.
A donor claiming a tax credit needs a numbered receipt in the right format, which a hand-written book rarely gives them.
A donor-funded project, like a ration drive, is hard to show as spent-so-far against its target without a dedicated ledger.
A trust, its mosque and its madrassa often run as one operation but get tracked across three separate hand-kept records.
What it does
Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.
Zakat, sadaqa, general and each restricted project are meant to keep their own balance, kept apart and never netted; no core feature does this today.
A cash, bank or mobile-wallet donation is meant to get a numbered receipt, in the format a donor needs to claim their own tax credit.
A donor-funded project is meant to show its spend against its target as beneficiaries are helped, reusing the product's projects feature, now planned rather than skipped.
Who was helped, what they received and when is kept as its own register.
The product keeps one employee record meant to cover the imam, teachers and field staff; our demos still keep separate staff lists until that is wired through.
A recurring monthly pledge or a one-off gift is meant to be tracked like a running account, redirected from a debtor's balance to a donor's giving history.
A click-to-chat message can carry a donor's thank-you or a zakat reminder before Ramadan; a person still presses send.
Planned: a small on-site relay hub is meant to record a mosque's Friday collection even when its connection drops.
Who uses it
Trustee / board chair
to review fund balances and approve large disbursements, without posting entries directly
Accountant / treasurer
to record donations, tag them to the right fund, pay bills and prepare donor receipts
Programme / field officer
to register beneficiaries and record what was distributed against a project, without seeing other funds' balances
Mosque committee treasurer
to count and bank the Friday collection and pay the imam and utility bills

Straight answers
That is the intended design: each fund is meant to show its own balance, never netted against another. It has not been built yet.
Planned: a numbered receipt in the format a donor needs for their tax-credit claim, once the donor-receipt feature is built.
Planned: a restricted project is meant to show its spend against its target as beneficiaries are helped, reusing the product's projects feature, which is now planned rather than skipped.
No, the design covers a trust, its mosque and its attached madrassa as one operation with one chart of accounts, while still working for an organisation that is only one of the three.
Yes, the design has no sales-tax event at all; the whole record is donations in and programme spend out, fund by fund.
