Enrolling
A package, not a per-hour price
A learner buys a lesson package as a lump sum; the front desk enrols them and starts booking against the balance.
Coming soon Education & Childcare
A lesson package buys a set number of classes, and the booking calendar is meant to only offer a slot where the chosen instructor and a vehicle are both genuinely free. The fleet sits on its own asset register with its running cost.

Enrolling
A learner buys a lesson package as a lump sum; the front desk enrols them and starts booking against the balance.
Booking
The booking calendar is meant to only offer a time where both the chosen instructor and a vehicle are actually free, so nothing gets double-booked.
The lesson
The instructor marks a lesson done with a note against a skill-progress checklist, from their phone.
Balance
Each completed lesson drops the package balance by one; a no-show inside the cancellation window forfeits a lesson under the school's own policy.
Readiness
Once the minimum lessons and the skills checklist are both complete, the learner is marked ready for the licence test.
Running the fleet
Fuel and maintenance costs roll up against the fleet as a depreciating asset with its own running cost, not a general expense line.
What goes wrong today
Booking a lesson without checking both the instructor and the vehicle at once means turning up to a car that's already out on another lesson.
A prepaid package should count down lesson by lesson; without it, nobody can say for certain how many lessons are left.
A learner's-permit or licence fee collected on the student's behalf and passed to the government isn't income; booking it as a sale overstates what the school actually earned.
Fuel and maintenance lost in general expenses hides what each vehicle actually costs to keep on the road.
What it does
Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.
A lesson will only book into a slot where both the chosen instructor and a vehicle are genuinely free, so neither one is ever double-booked.
A prepaid package will count down by one with every completed lesson, and block the next booking once it runs out.
A no-show inside the school's own cancellation window will forfeit a lesson under a policy you set, not a judgement call at the desk.
Each vehicle will sit on a fixed-asset register with its own cost, depreciation and running expense, so the fleet's real cost is never a guess.
A learner's-permit or licence fee collected on the student's behalf will post as a liability until it's remitted, never counted as your own revenue.
A receipt or a lesson reminder pre-fills a WhatsApp message that a person sends with one tap.
The product already posts each pay period as one balanced entry. A full pay run for instructors paid a base wage plus a share of their lessons is still being built.

Claim a placeStraight answers
We haven't found a clear answer either way; unlike some other countries there's no confirmed instructor-badge requirement here, so check current local practice rather than assuming there's a formal one.
It passes through as a liability collected on the student's behalf and remitted, never counted as the school's own income.
Not yet built. The plan is for the instructor to be reassigned to another vehicle, or the lesson rescheduled, rather than left to a judgement call.
That's the plan, a student/learner page for booking. It isn't built yet, so today booking happens through the front desk.
It's unclear from what we've found; confirm with an accountant for your province before pricing lessons.
