Morning
A pledge comes in
The appraiser weighs and tests a customer's gold, works out the loan-to-value against today's gold-price reference, and issues the loan.
Coming soon Local businesses by country
For a gold-loan or pawnbroking shop that appraises jewellery, works out the loan-to-value, tracks interest and redemptions, and reconciles the vault's physical gold against the loan book.
A working day
Morning
The appraiser weighs and tests a customer's gold, works out the loan-to-value against today's gold-price reference, and issues the loan.
Through the day
The cashier records interest-only payments and full redemptions, handing pledges back to their owners.
Afternoon
The branch manager reviews any loan approaching its notice period, before an auction becomes necessary.
Evening
The vault is reconciled: its physical gold counted against what the loan book says should be there.
Weekly
The owner reviews the loan book's size, overdue pledges, and branch profitability.
What goes wrong today
Working out the loan-to-value by hand, slab by slab, for every pledge size.
Proving the vault's physical gold matches the loan book only happens, if at all, at a stressful month-end count.
An overdue pledge's countdown to its legal auction deadline is tracked on paper, if at all.
A disputed valuation, argued after the gold is already sitting in the vault.
What it does
Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.
Pledge intake, a loan-to-value slab, interest accrual, part-redemption and an auction-on-default flow will come together as one connected record. It doesn't exist in the product yet.
Our retail demo already weighs an item and prices it by the gram; the same idea, extended to a gold appraisal with a purity test, is the next step for this trade.
The product already tracks a running customer balance with ageing behind it; redirected here, it can hold a loan's principal and interest instead of an ordinary shop credit balance.
Every branch is already a dimension on the record; a single combined view across a small chain of branches is still being wired up.
A WhatsApp button pre-fills an interest-due or redemption reminder; a person still presses send.
The tax engine lets a fee line carry its own tax code, separate from interest income, without a country's rules hard-coded.
Each pay period already posts as one balanced accounting entry; a full pay run for branch staff is still being built.

Every branch is already a dimension on the record; a single combined view across branches is still being wired up.
No. It applies the loan-to-value slab and records interest and redemptions the way you configure it. Meeting RBI's rules or your state's Pawnbrokers Act stays your own licensed business's responsibility.
