Opening
Leaf comes in
The gate clerk weighs each smallholder's delivery, notes a quality grade, and posts it to that supplier's running leaf-ledger.
Coming soon Local businesses by country
For a bought-leaf tea factory that buys green leaf from smallholders, processes it through withering, rolling, fermenting and drying, and sells the made tea through a broker at auction, where the price is only known after the sale.
A working day
Opening
The gate clerk weighs each smallholder's delivery, notes a quality grade, and posts it to that supplier's running leaf-ledger.
Morning
The tea maker moves each batch from withering to rolling to firing as it's ready, watching quality at every stage.
Afternoon
The sorter/grader supervisor grades the day's made tea into named grades and bags it by lot, ready for dispatch.
Evening
The accountant runs the smallholder payment list for the week and prepares the next lot for dispatch to the broker.
Weekly
An auction sale note comes back from the broker; it's posted against the lot's leaf-and-processing cost to close its margin.
What goes wrong today
The made tea's real margin is a factory-wide guess today, not a number tied to the one lot that earned it.
A smallholder's running balance lives in a paper book, so a dispute over what's owed takes an afternoon to sort out.
The Tea Board cess and the broker's commission are worked out by hand from the auction sale note, lot by lot.
Which smallholder's leaf earns the best price at auction is impossible to see without digging through old gate slips and sale notes.
What it does
Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.
Our retail demo already weighs an item and prices it by the gram; a gate weighbridge that weighs a whole delivery the same way is the next step for this trade.
The accounts already track vendor bills as open items; the same engine can hold a smallholder's running leaf balance, settled weekly or fortnightly.
Planned: a batch that moves through withering, rolling, fermenting, firing and grading as one tracked production chain, not a paper log.
Planned: a lot dispatched to a broker with no price agreed yet, closed out only when the auction sale note comes back.
The tax engine lets you enter any country's rates and codes without them being hard-coded, so a cess like the Tea Board's can be set up as a rate.
A WhatsApp button pre-fills the leaf-receipt slip message for a smallholder; someone still presses send.
Stock is tracked by location in the product, for a company running more than one bought-leaf factory.
Each pay period already posts as one balanced accounting entry; a full pay run for a mix of monthly staff and daily-wage factory workers is still being built.

Straight answers
Planned: a gate-weighment screen that posts straight to a supplier's leaf-ledger. Today this is a design, not a shipped feature.
Planned: holding a lot's leaf-and-processing cost against its own auction sale note, so a real per-lot margin appears, not a factory-wide guess.
Planned: a small on-site relay hub designed to keep recording weighments and sales through an outage. It hasn't shipped yet.
The tax engine lets you set any country's rates without them being hard-coded. A Sri Lankan cess rule would need to be entered as a rate; we don't calculate it for you today.
A WhatsApp button pre-fills the message; a person still has to press send.
Twenty minutes on a call. We show your day on the screen, with your words and your stock.
