Morning
Enquiry and drawing
A customer's drawing or spec comes in. The estimator builds a job's material and labour estimate and quotes it.
Coming soon Manufacturing & Process
Build a job's material and labour estimate, route it through cutting, welding and finishing, and compare the actual cost to the quote.
A working day
Morning
A customer's drawing or spec comes in. The estimator builds a job's material and labour estimate and quotes it.
Late morning
Once confirmed, a work order is raised and material is issued to the shop floor.
Midday
The job moves through cutting, welding, machining and finishing, with labour hours logged at each stage.
Afternoon
QC approves or rejects the job before it can be dispatched.
Evening
The job is invoiced, often a deposit taken earlier with the balance due on dispatch.
What goes wrong today
A job is quoted once and rarely checked against what it actually cost to make.
Material sent out for heat treatment or plating is easy to lose track of until the invoice turns up.
Sending a part back a work centre for rework should add to the job's cost, not duplicate it.
Without work-centre tracking, it is hard to tell which stage is actually slowing every job down.
What it does
Parts marked Coming soon are on the way; founding shops get them first, at no extra charge.
Customers can order against a running khata account. The product tracks open invoices, receipts and ageing behind the balance.
A raw metal or consumables purchase order flows through to goods receipt and then a supplier bill.
Our traders demo already turns a quotation into a confirmed order and then an invoice; the same chain is planned for a job costed from a drawing.
A job's material and labour estimate will build from a drawing or spec, before it's quoted.
A job's real progress and cost will track as it moves through cutting, welding, machining and finishing, with a QC sign-off gate before dispatch.
Material sent out for heat treatment or plating will track as its own cost against the job, instead of getting lost until the invoice arrives.
Every receipt carries an FBR-style invoice number and QR code. The live FBR connection is coming soon.
